Eva Moll is an international visual artist with curatorial practice. She is active in the areas drawing, painting, performance and conceptual art. Beside works on canvas and paper; Happening, exhibition making, video art and installation count to her Œuvre. A large part of her work stands in the traditions of appropriation art, pop art, fluxus and action art.

In search of common characteristics between putative contrasts, Eva Moll explores - conceptual as aesthetically - urban and organic structures to stage and produce them with refreshing ease. Her work ties together autobiographical subjects with contemporary phenomena and positions this in the tension field between art history and popular culture.

In her recent works the artist connects painting with aspects of the performance and installation. While she puts her paintings in spatial and performative contexts, Moll creates new pictures which are held on with digital media. She puts the worked on recordings by means of picture bearer and projection in other visual, spatial and situative connections. Multi-layered, complex works with multiple relations emerge from several repeatings of this process.

Her New York performance and tour "EVE - Painting the Town" showed during the Armory Show Week in 2011 for the first time at the Pier 92, the Museum of Modern Art, The New Museum of Contemporary Art and P.S.1 MoMA. With the guerrilla-performance of her art figure EVE 2012 Moll provided at the opening of the dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel for sensation. During her tours EVE in 2013 and 2014 originated collages, paintings, drawings and performances which were to be seen at art places in Rome, Florence, Monaco, Paris, Berlin, Chicago, London, New York and Miami.

Eva Moll ist eine internationale bildende Künstlerin mit kuratorischer Praxis. Sie betätigt sich in den Bereichen Zeichnung und Malerei, Performance Art und Konzeptkunst. Neben Arbeiten auf Leinwand und Papier zählen Happening, Ausstellungsmacherei, Video und Installation zu ihrem Gesamtkunstwerk. Ein Grossteil ihrer Arbeit steht in den Traditionen von Appropriation Art, Pop Art, Fluxus und Aktionskunst.

Auf der Suche nach Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen vermeintlichen Gegensätzen, erforscht Eva Moll - konzeptionell wie ästhetisch - urbane und organische Strukturen, um sie mit erfrischender Leichtigkeit zu inszenieren. Ihr Werk verknüpft autobiografische Themen mit zeitgenössischen Phänomenen und verortet diese im Spannungsfeld zwischen Kunstgeschichte und Popkultur.

In ihren aktuellen Arbeiten verbindet die Künstlerin Malerei mit Aspekten der Performance und Installation. Indem sie ihre Gemälde in räumliche und performative Kontexte stellt, erschafft Moll neue Bilder, die mit digitalen Medien festgehalten werden. Die bearbeiteten Aufzeichnungen setzt sie mittels Bildträger und Projektion in weitere visuelle, räumliche und situative Zusammenhänge. Durch das mehrfache Wiederholen dieses Prozesses entstehen vielschichtige, komplexe Werke mit multiplen Bezügen.

Ihre New York Performance und Tour "EVE - Painting the Town" zeigte sie während Armory Show Week 2011 erstmals am Pier 92, Museum of Modern Art, The New Museum of Contemporary Art und P.S.1 MoMA.
